Meet Lee Skinner
As the face of Morris Appliance, Lee Skinner knows a thing or two about being in the spotlight. But don’t let the fact that Lee stars in a series of Morris Appliance commercials fool you – as formidable as his on-screen talent is, he remains dedicated to his customers and will not be leaving for Hollywood any time soon!
Originally from Savannah, Georgia, Lee’s passion for helping customers find the right appliances started when he moved to Macon and began working in the Morris Appliance warehouse while attending Lanier High School for Boys. At that time the store was located in historic downtown Macon (on the corner of Broadway and Cherry Street) and Lee began learning the business working in the warehouse and making deliveries.
In 1967 Lee left Macon to attend college and later joined the Air Force, returning to Macon in 1985 to join the family business and follow in the footsteps of H. K. Morris (the original owner of Morris Appliance) and later Harry L. Skinner, Sr. (Lee’s father). And Lee has been helping customers at Morris Appliance every since.
These days Lee can be found spending time with his wife and two grown children or helping customers at Morris Appliance’s current location – 2117 Eisenhower Parkway. Visit Morris Appliance and you'll most likely get to meet Lee in person. If you ask nicely he may even give you an autograph!
